We won!

Race #5 of the 6-race Team Cup series.

Reem Jishi of Radical and I jumped away from the field at the start of the second lap, and thanks to a variety of things, we managed to stay out for the rest of the race. I pulled something resembling a sprint out and took the win.

Back in the field, Emma, Nancy and Andrea (in her second race since having Benjamin and making good use of her increased power) were keeping things well in hand. Good thing, as the field crossed the finish line a mere 30 seconds behind Reem and me.

This moves us into second in the series, with one more race to go on October 1.

All around, a nice birthday week present for the three of us born between Sepetember 11 and September 17!

Bear Mountain, Fall edition

Ow.

Even in nice weather, Bear is a hard race. Both of the women's fields started together, with the 4's doing 3 laps and the 123's doing 4.

Nan, who thinks she "might be able to be an ok climber if [she] practiced it a bit more", took 4th in the 4 field, making all the people who did practice their climbing weep.

Emma finished behind the lead group that escaped on the second or third lap.

And me? I was doing a scenic ride of the course. Good thing it was nice out!
